WHOSAY: What’s the first thing you do as soon as you arrive in the office?
Ty Jones: COFFEE, and definitely take a breath after commuting thru wonderful LA traffic.

WS: What’s a typical day at WHOSAY like?
TJ: First thing I'm sifting thru emails and communicating with my talent team in NY, then it's meetings/calls with talent reps, more internal meetings with our Creative and Sales teams as well. Some days I'll be on set with our production team and talent as well.

WS: What’s the most challenging part of your job? And what’s the part you enjoy the most?
TJ: Every campaign has multiple moving pieces to it. Anytime you mix in talent, production, brands and media a lot of issues can potentially arise. The key is to leverage your experience to anticipate those issues and have quick solutions. Constructing a campaign from pitch phase to seeing our talent post the content is my favorite aspect, as we really get to see our compelling storytelling come to life.

WS: What is your role at WHOSAY?
TJ: I am the Vice President of our Talent team

WS: Who’s the nicest icon, trailblazer, influencer or micro-influencer talent you’ve worked with at WHOSAY?

TJ: Chevy Chase is one of my favorite comedians/actors of all time so was thrilled to work with him, he couldn't have been nicer (and funnier!).

WS: Who is someone at WHOSAY that inspires you and why?
TJ: Everyone at WHOSAY is tied for 1st place in the inspiration department, we have so many creative and hard working minds and I'm lucky to be around that environment. I will say working with our CEO Steve Ellis over the past 7 years has taught me a lot about what a true innovator and motivator can accomplish.

WS: What was your job before coming to WHOSAY?
TJ: My professional experience has always been in the talent space and prior to WHOSAY I was with Creative Artists Agency, one of the world's largest talent agencies

WS: What’s your secret life hack and/or productive hack?
TJ: Don't eat sugar and get more sleep!

WS: What don’t most people know about you?
TJ: That I grew up around a lot of cows in a small Kansas town.

WS: What do you want to achieve in the near and/or long term?
TJ: I'm very excited about WHOSAY becoming a Viacom company this year as we will find so many new opportunities to work on together moving forward.

WS: Share your advice with aspiring young people who want to break into your industry
TJ: Be as assertive as possible when pursuing anything in the sports and entertainment space...be hungry and take on the tasks that others are hesitant to do.

WS: What’s unique about your company?
TJ: I've seen WHOSAY evolve from a celebrity digital strategy company to a leading influencer marketing company, our ability to pivot with our strengths, anticipate the market and set the standard of what quality storytelling can be sets us apart from the rest.

WS: What are your favorite books or quotes?
TJ: Currently putting myself through my own Conscisenousess 101 course so I've been working thru a stack of books by neuroscientists and philosophers

WS: What is the best advice you have ever received?
TJ: Early in my life my dad established the word "Gumption" in my vernacular and I've always kept that in mind when facing new challenges and difficult situations, a little resourcefulness and perseverance goes a long way.
