The Fashion Citizen’s Mel & Steph Valenzuela Take Over Austin for SXSW
Even though Mel & Steph Valenzuela, the Scottsdale, AZ twins behind the wildly successful YouTube channel The Fashion Citizen, are known for their thrift hauls, DIY tutorials, OOTWs (outfits of the week), and vlogs (video-logs of their everyday lives), one of their latest pieces of branded content took them to Austin, Texas for the famous South by Southwest (SXSW) media and music festival.
“Excited to visit Austin for the first time? You’re a #RightTWIX. Stoked to explore a new city? You’re a #LeftTWIX. SXSW here we come!” the sisters, who boast 300K+ subscribers on YouTube (and counting!), captioned an Instagram photo sponsored by Twix. “Hang out with us @TWIX’s House of Duos this Thursday, March 15th!” they added.
Similarly, YouTuber George Janko joined in the fun at SXSW with his own sponsored Instagram post also asking his fans to join him at TWIX’s House of Duos. “Even on a rainy day my mindset is still shining! What kinda @TWIX are you? #RightTWIX: coming to play ball dressed warm for the weather?! Or #LeftTWIX: coming to play ball embarrassingly for the weather?!” he captioned the post.
