#CommsWeekNY: WHOSAY CMO Says We’re Entering the New Phase of Influencer Marketing

Time for Influencer Marketing 2.0.

WHOSAY CMO Paul Kontonis will speak about the new phase of influencer marketing at Communications Week NY’s "Leveraging Influencers to Break Through While Ensuring Transparency and Authenticity" panel to be held on Wednesday, October 18 at 8:30 a.m. EST at Blender Workspace in New York City.

“We are clearly entering the new phase of influencer marketing, an influencer marketing 2.0,” said Kontonis. “This is when measurement will be paramount and all companies will realize success comes from the best creative ideas combined with the right talent and distribution yields repeatable and powerful performance.”

Kontonis will join Armando Triana, Social Media Director at Coyne PR; Matt Heindl, Senior Director, Social Content & Engagement Strategy at SapientRazorfish and Robbin Mangano, Influencer, and Co-founder at R Public Relations (RPR). Bill Evans, Head of Strategic Growth and Innovation at MSLGROUP and Influencer Committee Member at PR Council, will be the moderator.

"I'm excited for WHOSAY to be a part of what will be an engaging and exciting dialog around transparency in influencer marketing during Communications Week 2017," Tiffany Guarnaccia, CEO, Kite Hill PR & Founder, Communications Week, said. "Influencer marketing is growing faster than digital ads. With the fast-growth of a category must also come a forced pause from marketing and communications professionals while the category is in a nascent stage. On the point of massive expansion, we must take the time to dig in, digest newly forming guidelines and ensure that campaigns are executed with new and emerging regulations in mind."

The discussion will focus on influencer marketing in the world of PR. Panelists will share key takeaways on how brands can amplify traditional PR campaigns through strategic influencer partnerships. Related topics include FTC guidelines, micro-influencers, differentiation across verticals, truth and transparency in followers and bots.

Founded in 2014 to bring together the greatest minds in PR and media, Communications Week is a cross-industry celebration that brings together the movers and shakers in the public relations, communications, and media industries. For more information go to www.commsweek.com.
